I teach beginning guitar for both kids and adults. I emphasize development and coordination of the hands first by learning simple songs. All kids are different, so I try to adapt my lessons to suit the abilities of each student.

For intermediate guitar lessons I use arpeggios and the C-A-G-E-D chord shape method as a starting point for building 'chops' and a knowledge of the fretboard. I draw some of my material from the gypsy swing style of Django Reinhardt. This music is challenging and fun to play.

Ukulele is the perfect party instrument. It's easy to play, it's easy to carry and it sounds great. You can play anything from Sinatra to the Sex Pistols on a ukulele. I can show you how.
